We started CashbackHQ because, like you, we got tired of digging through endless “best cashback” lists that all said the same thing. We actually use these sites, we chase these bonuses, and we know what it’s like to wait three months for a payout that should have landed weeks ago. This page is where we explain how we write, why we write the way we do, and how we keep things honest.
Why We Exist
Cashback isn’t complicated, but the way some sites explain it sure makes it feel that way. Our goal is to cut through the fluff and give you information you can act on right now. If we can save you five minutes of research or help you pick the better sign-up bonus, then we’ve done our job.
How We Test and Review
We don’t just glance at a cashback site’s homepage and call it a day. We open accounts. We run actual transactions. We poke around the dashboard, check what’s hidden in the fine print, and yes — we’ve had to chase down missing cashback more times than we’d like. The things we look at include:
- How easy (or frustrating) it is to sign up
- Whether the advertised rates match the real ones when you click through
- Payment speed — days vs. months matters
- Available payout options (and whether they have annoying minimums)
- Customer support responsiveness
Sometimes the experience is smooth. Sometimes it’s not. Either way, we write it down.
Keeping Our Info Fresh
Cashback rates change — sometimes daily. We update our site whenever we spot a change, and we run deeper reviews of each cashback platform at least a few times a year. If a sign-up bonus disappears, you won’t see it here the next day. If it’s live, we’ll tell you exactly what the terms are.
Who’s Writing This Stuff
Our content is all prepared by me, Ben Rose. You can find my info at the bottom of the page. I’ve been featured in Investing.com, Marketer Magazine, small team has spent years in the cashback and rewards world — testing platforms, stacking deals, and yes, occasionally making a mistake so you don’t have to. We’re not a faceless content farm. You can see who’s behind an article right under the title, and if you think we’ve missed something, we want to hear from you.
About Those Affiliate Links
CashbackHQ is free to read and always will be. Some of the links on our site are affiliate links, which means we might earn a commission if you sign up or shop through them. That commission never costs you anything extra and doesn’t change our rankings. We’d rather keep your trust than squeeze in a bad recommendation for a quick buck.
How We Check Facts
Before we publish a review, we double-check all the important details directly on the cashback site itself — things like payout minimums, rate tables, and bonus terms. If something still slips through the cracks, we fix it quickly and note when the page was updated.
We Want Your Input
If you’ve had a great (or terrible) experience with a cashback site we cover, send it in. The fastest way is through our contact page or by emailing Ben(at)CashbackHQ.com. We read every message, even if we can’t respond to all of them.
